1. Acceptance of Terms

By connecting to, joining, or otherwise using the Halcyon Minecraft server, our Discord, or our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all server rules. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services. These terms apply to all players, staff, and visitors.

2. Eligibility

You must own a legitimate copy of Minecraft: Java Edition to play. If you are under the age of 13, you must have a parent or guardian's permission to use our services and provide any information. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.

3. Player Conduct

All players are expected to treat others with respect. The following are strictly prohibited: cheating, hacking, using unauthorized modifications or scripts, exploiting bugs or glitches for personal gain, harassment, discrimination, hate speech, threats, spamming, advertising other servers, scamming, and any behavior that disrupts the experience of others. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.

4. Enforcement

Our staff team enforces the rules at their discretion. Punishments may include warnings, mutes, kicks, temporary bans, or permanent bans, applied with or without prior warning depending on the severity of the offense. Staff decisions are final. Attempting to evade a ban using alternate accounts will result in extended punishment.

5. Purchases and Payments

Any ranks, perks, cosmetics, or other items available for purchase are digital goods with no real-world monetary value. All purchases are final and non-refundable once delivered. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute will result in an immediate and permanent ban, and revocation of all purchased content. Purchased perks are cosmetic or convenience-based and do not guarantee any advantage.

6. Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your Minecraft, Discord, and any related accounts. Never share your login credentials with anyone. Halcyon staff will never ask for your password under any circumstances. We are not responsible for any loss resulting from compromised accounts.

7. Content and Builds

Any builds, creations, or content you make on the server may be used, modified, or removed by staff as needed for server operation. Inappropriate builds or content will be removed and may result in punishment.

8. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the server. Downtime may occur for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues. We are not liable for any loss of progress, items, or data resulting from downtime, crashes, resets, or other technical issues.

9. Limitation of Liability

Halcyon and its team are not liable for any damages arising from your use of our services. The server is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review them periodically. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information Halcyon collects, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using our server, Discord, or website, you consent to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

When you play on Halcyon, we automatically collect your Minecraft username, Universally Unique Identifier (UUID), IP address (for security and anti-cheat purposes), and in-game activity such as balances, playtime, chat logs, purchases, and statistics. If you join our Discord, we may collect your Discord username and ID. If you submit a staff application, we collect all information you voluntarily provide in that application.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to operate and improve the server, deliver and verify purchases, enforce our rules and moderate the community, prevent cheating and abuse, review staff applications, and respond to support requests. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. Chat and Communication Logs

Chat messages and commands may be logged for moderation and security purposes. These logs help us investigate rule violations, scams, and disputes.

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate, such as our server host and payment processor. These services have their own privacy policies. If you join our Discord, your use of Discord is governed by Discord's Privacy Policy in addition to ours. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to operate the server and enforce our rules. Moderation records (such as ban history) may be kept indefinitely for security purposes.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting our staff team. We will honor reasonable requests, subject to any information we are required to retain for security, moderation, or legal reasons. Deletion of certain data may affect your ability to use the server.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not provide personal information without a parent or guardian's consent. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13 without consent, we will delete it.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

3. Custom Plugins and Code

Our custom plugins, systems, and code are proprietary. You may not copy, decompile, reverse-engineer, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from our custom software without express written permission from the Halcyon team.

4. Builds and Creations

Server spawns, event builds, and other creations are protected. Copying or redistributing our builds without permission is prohibited. Some builds may be licensed from third-party creators and remain their property.

5. Permitted Use

You may share screenshots and videos of your gameplay on Halcyon for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as content creation, provided you do not misrepresent your affiliation with the server. You may not use our branding to imply official endorsement without permission.

6. Prohibited Use

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of Halcyon's content, code, or branding for commercial purposes without written consent. Unauthorized use may result in a ban and, where applicable, legal action.

7. Reporting Infringement

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on Halcyon without authorization, or wish to report misuse of our content, please contact the Halcyon staff team with details. We take intellectual property rights seriously and will respond to legitimate concerns.
